Jarryd Reed
BSc, BCAK, CSCS - Kinesiologist
My name is Jarryd Reed, and I come from a small town in central Alberta. Growing up, I was
involved in every sport I could participate in—cycling, climbing, volleyball, football, soccer,
badminton, snowboarding, and many others. Through these activities, I faced several serious
injuries in my athletic endeavors, which sparked my fascination with physical therapy. I was
particularly intrigued by the ability of physical therapists and kinesiologists to assess
physiological limitations and develop effective rehabilitation plans to keep others active and
healthy.
My passion for health and fitness led me to transition into the health and exercise field, where I
earned a Personal Training Diploma with honors from the Northern Alberta Institute of
Technology (NAIT).
The COVID-19 pandemic marked a turning point in my career, prompting me to adapt by
offering online training to sport-specific athletes and close friends. This shift allowed me to build
a dedicated client base that I continue to work with today.
In 2021, I moved to Victoria to pursue my passion for helping people in the health and fitness
community. I earned my degree in Kinesiology from Camosun College. Now, as a full-time
Kinesiologist and Strength & Conditioning Coach, I bring my experience, knowledge, and passion to help
individuals achieve their health and fitness goals.

Originally from Yellowknife, NT, Danielle attended McGill University in Montreal, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology in 2010. She then completed a Masters of Physical Therapy at the University of British Columbia in 2013.
Since graduating, Danielle has worked in private practice and has taken many continuing education courses for exercise prescription, manual therapy, pain science, and dry needling (IMS). She combines hands-on therapies with active rehabilitation and education. She feels strongly about creating an individualized program for her client that fits as seamlessly into their lives as possible. Having been on the receiving end of a physiotherapy-prescribed exercise program (or two), she knows that it must be meaningful and convenient.
Danielle was fortunate enough to be involved in almost every activity imaginable in her youth, from speed skating to kayaking to varsity-level badminton. Now, she likes to keep active by walking, running, and sometimes biking the incredible trails the Island has to offer. She and her partner are “training” their new little one to do the same! Ask her for her recommendations on where to go; she’d love to hear yours.
Danielle is a native, although somewhat rusty, French speaker and offers services in both English and French.

Raised in beautiful Victoria, I developed a deep love for an active lifestyle. During high school, I was a competitive rower, which initially sparked my passion for health and fitness. This led me to complete a BSc in Kinesiology with honours at the University of Victoria, while working as a personal trainer during my final year.
After graduating, I worked as a kinesiologist alongside physiotherapists who inspired me to pursue a career in physiotherapy. I completed my MSc in Physiotherapy in Aberdeen, Scotland at Robert Gordon University.
I am thrilled that I now have the opportunity to bring my learning back to my hometown, where I can help people recover from their injuries and manage their conditions. I am so excited to be part of the Parkway team, where I can help people get back to doing the things they love.
Extra:
When I have free time, I enjoy going to the gym or hanging out with my dog Bella.
